چکیده

Spotted scat ( Scatophagus argus ) is an important mariculture fish that of great economic significance in East and Southeast Asia. To date, there are no studies on ovary development regulation S. . Herein, the transcriptome profiles at different stages were constructed, genes pathways potentially involved secondary follicle growth identified. A total 25,426 detected by sequencing mRNAs from libraries stage III (n=3) IV (n=3). Notably, 2950 716 up-regulated down-regulated ovary, respectively, compared to ovary. The differentially expressed (DEGs) found be mostly regulating steroidogenesis, vitellogenesis, lipid metabolism, meiosis. Up-regulation steroid hormone synthesis pathway fshr , cyp17a1 foxl2 insulin-like factor igf1r ifg2r igfbp1 igfbp3 igfbp7 was possibly reason for increased serum estrogen. Moreover, ppara ppard fabp3 lpl droplet formation oocyte. Many DEGs cellular cycle, meiosis, cAMP or cGMP hydrolysis, indicating meiosis restarted In addition, numerous TGF-beta signal This transcript dataset forms a baseline investigating functional associated with oogenesis

Rapid variation in kidney histology in spotted scat Scatophagus argus on exposed to abrupt salinity changes

In order to study the role of the kidney in fish osmoregulation, freshwater acclimatized juvenile spottedscat (Scatophagus argus L.) were subjected to four different salinities and observed for histomorphometricchanges of the kidney at 1, 2, 10 and 15 days post transfer time points. The overall morphological changesdisplayed by fish kidney included significant decrease in the density of collect...

Dopamine regulates renal osmoregulation during hyposaline stress via DRD1 in the spotted scat (Scatophagus argus)

Dopamine is an important regulator of renal natriuresis and is critical for the adaptation of many animals to changing environmental salinity. However, the molecular mechanisms through which dopamine promotes this adaptation remain poorly understood. We studied the effects of dopamine on renal hypo-osmoregulation in the euryhaline fish Scatophagus argus (S. argus) during abrupt transfer from se...

Histological and ultrastructural studies of the olfactory epithelium of spotted butter fish Scatophagus argus (Linnaeus).

The olfactory epithelium of Scatophagus argus (Linnaeus) was investigated by light and scanning electron microscopy. The elongated olfactory organ is made up of 20 to 22 primary lamellae arranged on both sides of the narrow median raphe. Sensory and non-sensory regions are located separately on each lamella. The sensory epithelium occupies the upper apical broad half and extreme basal part of t...

Comparative Transcriptomic Study of Muscle Provides New Insights into the Growth Superiority of a Novel Grouper Hybrid

Grouper (Epinephelus spp.) is a group of fish species with great economic importance in Asian countries. A novel hybrid grouper, generated by us and called the Hulong grouper (Hyb), has better growth performance than its parents, E. fuscoguttatus (Efu, ♀) and E. lanceolatus (Ela, ♂). We previously reported that the GH/IGF (growth hormone/insulin-like growth factor) system in the brain and liver...
